Mr. President,

Thank you for convening this meeting to receive an update on the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Statement delivered by H.E. Michael Kanu, Permanent Representative of Sierra Leone to the UN, on behalf of the A3+, at the Security Council Adoption of Resolution 2785 (2025) on the UN Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH)

Thank you, Mr. President,

I have the honour to deliver this statement on behalf of the A3+, namely, Algeria, Guyana, Somalia, and my own country, Sierra Leone.

We welcome the unanimous adoption of resolution 2785 (2025) extending the mandate of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) until January 31, 2026.

Mr. President,

I thank the Deputy Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Nazhat Khan, for the presentation of the 41st report on the situation in Darfur. I also welcome the participation of the Permanent Representative of Sudan in today’s meeting.
